Hand Painted Glass Seder Plate by Ester Shahaf
This handcrafted glass Seder plate is beautifully hand-painted in harmonious vivid shades, decorated with Swarovski crystals, enamel and appliquéd metals and stands on four brass legs. The six designated spots are inscribed in Hebrew with the names of the traditional foods to be placed on them: Maror, Charoset, Karpas. Zroa and a Roasted egg (Beiza).
At the center of the plate, appears the Hebrew word Pesach (Passover) which is beautifully decorated with prominent motifs from the Jewish culture - the Star of David and Hamsa Hand. This unique Seder Plate is decorative and completely handy. Adorn your Passover table with this delightful piece!
The Artist: Ester Shahaf is a graduate of Tel Aviv University in theater and costume design. Drawing her inspiration from her sorroundings, Ester resides and creates her pieces in the picturesque town of Binyamina, integrating all the different cultures of our region. Combining orient with nouveau, mediterranian with modern and bringing up in colour and style all the exotic herritage that makes this land and people so enchanting.
Ester uses in her work a blend of materials to even the contrasts. The soft and warm wood blends with the clean, smooth metal, as well as shiny crystals rest on satin vivid colours. Each piece is individually hand crafted, using pewter, silver, brass and Swarovski crystals.
