Amy Gilron was born in Chicago and educated at the University Of Illinois in the USA, earning a Bachelor of Arts. In addition she has trained as a professional cabinetmaker at two trade schools in Norway. She has worked as a cabinetmaker in both Israel and the United States.
In her studio in Beer Sheva, Amy creates original designs of Judaica and other functional items, using woods from all over the world, sometimes with accents of glass and metalwork. Recently she has delved into silver work and jewelry making as well.
